Six killed, 11 injured as Lorry collides with Jeep near Chintamani in Karnataka
Chikkaballapura, Sep 12: At least six people were killed and several others were injured in an accident involving a jeep and a lorry at Marinayakanahalli in Chintamani taluk here, police sources said on Sunday.
Among the dead are two women and four men.
The deceased were identified as Narayana Swamy, Ramesh, Venkata Laxmamma and Gopalli Ratnamma while the identity of the other two is yet to be ascertained.
According to police, eleven people were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
They said the number of casualties may go up.
Police officers and Chintamani MLA J K Krishna Reddy have visited the spot.

Karnataka MLC Nazir Ahmed visits Ajman Ruler’s Court, Thumbay Medicity
Ajman, UAE: Karnataka Legislative Council member and Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nazir Ahmed, visited the Ajman Ruler’s Court and Thumbay Medicity, strengthening ties between Karnataka and the UAE.

He extended an invitation to Sheikh Majid to visit Bengaluru and proposed a future delegation of high-level officials from Karnataka to Ajman and Thumbay Medicity.
