Soldier dies of heart attack on duty; body brought home to Chamarajanagar
Chamarajanagar: A soldier, identified as Jnyana Prakash from Sulwadi village in Hanur taluk, passed away from a heart attack while on duty at the Punjab border. His mortal remains were brought back to his hometown late last night with the cooperation of fellow soldiers.
After learning of his untimely demise, the soldier’s family traveled to Punjab and arranged to bring his body back to Sulwadi. The body was transported to Bengaluru by air and then taken by vehicle to his native village in Chamarajanagar district.
The body of the late soldier, Jnyana Prakash, has been placed in front of his house for people to pay their last respects.

RBI Governor hospitalised
Chennai (PTI): Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das has been admitted to a corporate hospital here, a source said on Tuesday.
He was being monitored, the source said without divulging details. There was no immediate official information from the hospital.
