Bengaluru, July 18: The Karnataka State Examination Board has informed that it would send the result of the SSLC supplementary exams -2018 to the students through SMS to their registered mobile numbers after 12 noon of July 19.

In its press release, the Board said that the schools could get their results in the website and they could announce the result on July 20 after 12 noon. The students could visit the websites: http://sslc.kar.nic.in and http://karresults.nic.in for results. Students could apply online for photocopies of their answer scripts and revaluation. A circular and application format was given in the website: www.kseeb.kar.nic.in. The students can submit their applications for photocopies from July 19 to 28 and revaluation from July 21 to August 4, the statement said.  

The supplementary exam was conducted from June 21 to 28 across the state in 673 exam centres. Evaluation of the answer scripts was done from July 8 in 50 evaluation centres in nine education districts. Total 10,946 teachers evaluated the answer papers. After the evaluation, the marks were directly transferred to Board server through a software for the first time in its history. The result was prepared in the KSDC server controlled by the Board as done in 2018 April result. For the first time, the evaluators were credited their honorarium to their bank accounts directly.

Tumakuru (PTI): Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Saturday said his recent remarks on the demolition of properties linked to those involved in narcotics trade were "misunderstood and misinterpreted".

His clarification follows remarks made two days ago on the government's uncompromising crackdown on the drug menace, including action against properties linked to foreign nationals allegedly involved in drug trafficking.

"It is unfortunate. It is taken in the wrong sense. I didn't mean that tomorrow itself I am going to send bulldozers and demolish the houses. That was not my intention. It was wrongly taken," he told reporters here.

Responding to Congress MLC K Abdul Jabbar's question in the legislative council on the growing drug menace in Bengaluru, Davangere and coastal districts, the minister on Thursday detailed the extensive enforcement measures initiated since the Congress government assumed office.

Pointing to the involvement of some foreign nationals, the minister had said, "Many foreign students from African countries have come to Karnataka. They are into the drug business. We catch them and register cases against them, but they want the case to be registered because once the case is registered, we cannot deport them."

"We have gone to the extent of demolishing the rented building where they stay," he had said.
