Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress Chief DK Shivakumar on Friday said the BJP government in the state will fall within 50 days starting today adding that the CM Bommai-led government has its days numbered.

The senior Congress leader said his party would secure at least 136 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in the state and thereby for the government once again.

“We have conducted our internal surveys and we are confident that we will win at least 136 seats comfortably,” Shivakumar said.

Shivakumar also listed corruption, unemployment, and inflation as major issues that will seal BJP’s fate in the coming elections. He said the people of the state were fed up with the existing style of governance.

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.

According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.

Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
