Bengaluru, May 23: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee cautioned that those who indulge in conflicts with regional parties would be washed out.
After holding a discussion with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at Kumara Krupa Guest House here on Wednesday, she reacted to the media persons about the statement of BJP national president Amit Shah that just because of the leaders of the regional parties have come together, the Third Front could not do anything in the country. “Let Amith Shah speak anything about regional parties. We will not worry about it. We have placed our thoughts. We will work on bringing all regional parties together. If the regional parties became stronger, a stable and strong administration can be given in the country. Meeting with Naidu has given me a good opportunity to discuss this issue”, she added.
All regional parties in the country have been uniting. Through regional parties, 2019 Lok Sabha election would witness moral politics in the country. “Let the Congress do its work. We will do our work. It is a good development that the Congress has come forward to extend its support to form a coalition government headed by a regional party. Though Congress is an independent party, we have come here to extend our support to Kumaraswamy who is heading the coalition government”, she added.
DMK leader MK Stalin is not attended the swearing in programme due to some issues in Tamil Nadu. She has come to Bengaluru to attend the programme, she added.
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that Kumaraswamy taking oath as the new CM of Karnataka is a good development. All regional parties have been extending their support to Kumaraswamy. It is a good platform to show the strength of the regional parties. Both himself and Mamata Banerjee have been toiling to strengthen the regional parties, he added.
