Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took a jibe at BJP saying, "Those who went to jail on charges of corruption are now saying 'I am Chawkidar.' Yeddyurappa, Katta Subramanya Naidu, Janardhan Reddy, Sreeramulu are calling themselves as Chawkidars.
Speaking after campaigning on behalf of alliance candidate Rizwan Arshad at Rajajinagar here on Monday, he said, "Modi is 'bhagidar (collaborator) in corruption and cannot become Chowkidar.
Why BJP candidate PC Mohan is seeking votes on Modi's name if he has worked in the constituency, asking what are PC Mohan's contribution in this area, Siddaramaiah said "Bengaluru developed a lot during my term. If youth ask for employment, Modi, Shah tells them to sell pakoda."
"BJP candidate Mohan never speaks in parliament about problems faced by people in his constituency, do you want to elect him once again", he questioned.
