Bengaluru: The police have arrested three accused concerning the assault incident which occurred at the Kundalahalli bakery in the jurisdiction of the HAL police station, where a group of miscreants had barged into the bakery and beaten up the staff.

The arrested accused have been identified as Karthik (20), a resident of Ashwanagar, Salman (23), and Karthik (23), a resident of Marathahalli.

The three accused young men had gotten together with their friends and barged into the bakery on Thursday night and assaulted the bakery employees, Naveen Shetty and Prajwal Shetty. A case had been registered in this regard at the HAL police station.

Mumbai (PTI): A 75-year-old man died after some portion of a slab in a two-storey residential structure collapsed on him in Mumbai's Bhandup area on Saturday morning, officials said.

The incident occurred at Tulshipada in Patkar Compound of Bhandup West around 9.45 am, they said.

"The victim, identified as Susai Daevdas Kaunder, was injured when some part of the slab on the upper floor of a two-storey structure fell on him," a civic official said.

He was immediately taken to nearby Navkaar Hospital, where he was declared dead, the official said.
