Chamrajanagar: In a heart-wrenching incident that occurred on Wednesday, a three-year-old girl child passed away due to accidental electrocution on her birthday at Kengaki village in Chamrajanagar Taluk.

The deceased child has been identified as Niveditha (3), daughter of Siddalingaswamy, a resident of the village.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, around 3.30 pm during the child’s birthday, when she was playing on their property. It is learned that three-year-old Niveditha had gone near the pump starter and was electrocuted upon touching the electrical appliance.

However, her parents rushed her to a hospital in Kabballi where she breathed her last. Inspector of the Chamrajanagar Rural Police Station, B. Puttaswamy informed.

A case has been registered in Chamrajanagar Rural Police Station in this regard.

Ajman, UAE: Karnataka Legislative Council member and Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nazir Ahmed, visited the Ajman Ruler’s Court and Thumbay Medicity, strengthening ties between Karnataka and the UAE.

At the Ruler’s Court, Ahmed met Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Court, to discuss avenues for collaboration in healthcare, education, and research. He extended an invitation to Sheikh Majid to visit Bengaluru and proposed a future delegation of high-level officials from Karnataka to Ajman and Thumbay Medicity.

As part of the visit, Ahmed toured Thumbay Medicity’s state-of-the-art healthcare, medical education, and research facilities. Praising the institution’s achievements, he described it as a global hub for healthcare excellence.
