Tumkur: Two persons killed after they came in contact with a live electric wire that was lying on the ground near Sira Taluk’s Karpehalli.
The deceased are identified as Harish (40) and Eeradasappa (50), both residents of Karpehalli.
This incident occurred when Eeradasappa went to answer nature’s call in the morning. The broken live wire was lying near the house. Harish, who had come to the spot after hearing Eeradasappa’s cry, also electrocuted. Both of them died on the spot.
Kallambella police have registered a case in this regard.

India clawed their way back into the contest in the final session, claiming three wickets to stall England's charge.
At stumps, skipper Ben Stokes, who had earlier retired hurt due to cramps, resumed his innings and remained unbeaten on 77 alongside Liam Dawson, who was batting on 21.
