Bengaluru, May 31: Senior advocate Uday Holla was appointed as the new Advocate General of the Karnataka government on Thursday and he might take over the charge on June 1.
After the completion of the tenure of the Congress government, senior advocate Madhusudan R Nayak has resigned from the AG post. But as soon as BS Yeddyurappa sworn in as the Chief Minister, the Governor has appointed senior advocate and additional Solicitor General Prabhulinga K Navadgi as the AG on May 17.
In a changed political scenario, the JDS-Congress combine has formed the government and Uday Holla was appointed as the AG and sources said that he would take over the charge on Friday.
With this, Uday Holla has become the AG for the fourth time. He has worked as the AG for three times from April 1, 2006 to October 29, 2007, from October 16, 2007 to November 22, 2007, from June 2, 2008 to June 24, 2009.
