Chitradurga: An unmanned drone-model fighter aircraft conducting test flight crashed near Vaddikere village of Hiriyur taluk of Chitradurga district.
The fighter jet developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) took off from the air base of Kudapur near Nayakanahatti on Sunday morning, but lost control in the middle of the flight and fell on a field. There are no casualties reported due to the fall of the aircraft.
The people in the village, however, gathered in the field to take a look at the fallen aircraft. The Police Department as well as the DRDO officials arrived at the spot are conducting an investigation in the matter.

New Delhi (PTI): The National Investigation Agency on Thursday conducted searches at 22 locations in six states to probe a human trafficking syndicate luring youth to work in call centres engaged in cyber frauds, officials said.
They said the searches were being conducted in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi among other places.
The case, which was registered by police in Gopalganj in Bihar, relates to an organised syndicate luring and trafficking Indian youth to foreign countries on the pretext of jobs and forcing them to work in fake call centres engaged in cyber fraud.
