Bengaluru: Karnataka Media Academy on Thursday announced its annual awards for 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. The list includes Vartha Bharati’s Bengaluru Bureau Chief Prakash C Ramajogihalli. Prakash will receive the award for the year 2022.

The awards list was announced by Karnataka Media Academy Chairman Sadashiv Shenoy. Several journalists from across the state were named in the list for their contribution in the field of media in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

While the Special Award carries a purse of Rs.50, 000 and a citation, the Annual Awards carry a purse of Rs.25,000 and a citation each. A total of 124 journalists have been selected for the awards over four years.

The Chairman of the Academy also said Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and other ministers of the state have been invited to the awards ceremony.

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.

According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.

Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
