Bengaluru: A post on Kannada actor the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s Twitter handle welcoming people to watch the new film ‘Gandhada Gudi’ is going viral on social media, with the actor’s fans turning sentimental.

‘Gandhada Gudi’, which was released on Friday, is a docudrama film produced by Puneeth Rajkumar’s PRK Productions and directed by Amoghavarsha J S. It is released in Kannada, English and Hindi, simultaneously.

A tweet on Thursday, saying, “Looking forward to see you all in the theaters,” with a heart symbol, from Puneeth Rajkumar’s personal handle has turned fans emotional.

A netizen commented, “I felt for a moment, Puneeth Rajkumar had returned.”

Many others too expressed surprise at seeing a post from the actor’s personal handle. “We too are waiting to meet you,” some have replied.

The last post from the actor’s was dated October 29, 2021, before the release of his film ‘Bhajarangi 2’, prior to his death.

Bengaluru: Six Naxalites who were actively involved in Maoist activities across the Western Ghats for several years surrendered on Wednesday at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s home office, Krishna.

The event took place in the presence of members from the Naxal Surrender and Rehabilitation Committee and the Citizens' Forum for Peace

The surrendered individuals have been identified as Mundagaru Latha from Chikkamagaluru district, Vanajakshi from Balehole, Sundari Kuthlur from Dakshina Kannada district, Marappa Aroli from Raichur, K. Vasanth from Tamil Nadu, and T.N. Jeesha from Kerala.
