Water tanker hits two-wheeler in Shivamogga: 25-year-old medical student dies, another injured
Shivamogga: A 25-year-old medical student riding a two-wheeler was killed and the pillion rider grievously injured as a water tanker hit their vehicle on the premises of the McGann Hospital in the city on Thursday.
A case has been registered by the Shivamogga (West) Traffic Police officers, who are investigating the incident.
The deceased rider, identified as Lavanya, was a native of Karkala and doing her post-graduation in medicine. The pillion rider is being treated at the hospital.
The tanker that hit their two-wheeler arrived on the hospital premises reportedly to supply water for building construction work on the premises.

Four crew members aboard refueling aircraft were killed: US military
Dubai (AP): Four of the six crew members aboard a US military KC-135 refueling aircraft that crashed in western Iraq have been found dead, the American military said.
The US military's Central Command made the announcement in a statement.
“Four of six crew members on board the aircraft have been confirmed deceased as rescue efforts continue,” it said. “The circumstances of the incident are under investigation. However, the loss of the aircraft was not due to hostile fire or friendly fire.”
