WhiteField police operation: Six bike lifters arrested, 15 bikes recovered
Bengaluru, November 6: K.R Puram police under WhiteField Division busted a racket of bike lifters and arrested six persons and recovered 15 bikes. The arrested have been identified as Raviteja, Suhail, Yuvateja, Dharmateja and Yatri Reddy Prasad, said WhiteField Division DCP Abdul Ahad.
When the police took Yallappa Lavaraju and interrogated him regarding the bike theft at Ayyappa Nagar on October 22, he spilled the beans. The police have recovered 15 bikes worth Rs 24 lakh and the accused have lifted the bikes in Ramamurthy Nagar, Sadashiva Nagar and Puttenahalli police station limits, the DCP said.

Youth drowns in Durga falls in Karkala
Udupi (Karnataka), Nov 28: A 19-year-old boy drowned on Thursday while bathing in Durga falls near Karkala, police said.
According to police, a group of seven college students arrived at the falls and were taking bath.
In the afternoon, Joyal Dias slipped and fell into the deep gorge while trying to get into the water to take bath.
When Karkala rural police reached the location, they launched a search. After much effort, they were able to locate and retrieve the body.
Further investigation is on, police said.
