Mysuru: Making sharp remarks against Vartha Bharati on Sunday, Karnataka BJP MP Pratap Simha said that he would buy the media house and set it right.

Speaking at a press conference, the Mysuru-Kodagu MP was irked by a question posed by Vartha Bharati reporter Satish Kumar. The MP was also questioned about the Karnataka government’s move to scrap the 4% reservations for Muslims under the 2B category.

“I will buy Vartha Bharati and set it right. Even after joining politics and being in this field for over 10 years, I have not lost interest in journalism. They always project news in a prejudiced and biased manner. They think only they are pro-Ambedkar, we are also pro-Ambedkar and we are also concerned about the ethos of the constitution."

“Tell me if the four percent reservation for Muslims was within the ethos of the Constitution? If not, didn’t Congress and JD(s) violate the principles of the Constitution by enforcing it? We have set their violations right by revoking the reservation.” The MP said in the press conference.

Speaking further, Simha added that he will get elected to the parliament from the same Mysuru-Kodagu seat under the leadership of MP Modi in 2024. He added that the progress and development of the constituency were his first priority.
