Bengaluru: Hours after Karnataka Water Resources Minister and Congress leader DK Shivakumar met rebel MLA MTB Nagaraj, the latter added that he will discuss on withdrawing his resignation with Sudhakar Rao adding that he had spent decades in Congress.
DK Shivakumar, known for his trouble shooting skills, after meeting Nagaraj had assured the media that Nagaraj will withdraw his resignation and will stay with the party.
DK Shivakumar said, "We should live together and die together because we have worked for 40 years for the party, there are ups and downs in every family. We should forget everything and move forward. Happy that MTB Nagaraj (rebel MLA) has assured us he will stay with us."
MTB Nagaraj has stated that situation was such that they submitted their resignations. He said, "DK Shivakumar and others came and requested us to withdraw resignations, I will speak to K Sudhakar Rao and then see what is to be done, after all I have spent decades in Congress."

Thiruvananthapuram (PTI): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will kick off his election campaign for the upcoming Assembly polls in Kerala on March 25 with a major rally in Kozhikode.
The rally is scheduled to be held at Kozhikode beach in the evening, marking the beginning of his campaign tour in the state ahead of the April 9 elections, senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said on Saturday.
Chennithala, who heads the election campaign committee, said Gandhi is expected to elaborate on key promises of the United Democratic Front (UDF), including the proposed "guarantee card".
Leaders from the national and state levels of the party are also expected to attend the event, he said in a statement.
