Bengaluru, May 27: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi tomorrow and it would be a cordial meeting.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said that he would appeal the Prime Minister to extend its cooperation and help to the state. Both Centre and State government should have a cordial relationship in a federal system. He would also meet the Energy Minister and discuss on coal issue, he said.
On a question, he said that AICC president Rahul Gandhi did not invite him to meet him. He has spoken to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi over phone yesterday. Rahul is going to abroad today. Soon after Rahul returned, he would meet him and discuss on Cabinet expansion, he said.
Nehru remembered
As part of the 54th death anniversary of first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy offered floral tributes to the statue of Nehru near Kengal Hanumanthaiah gate in Vidhana Soudha. Later, he recalled the contribution of Nehru to the country.

Mumbai (PTI): BJP national joint general secretary Shiv Prakash and Maharashtra unit head Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Sunday met Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at his residence here on Sunday.
The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance on Saturday retained power in Maharashtra, pocketing a whopping 230 of the 288 assembly seats.
The focus has now shifted to BJP leader Fadnavis, the architect of his party’s stunning victory as it bagged 132 of the 149 seats it contested in the state.
