Hanur: A woman was electrocuted while she was on her way to attend nature’s call. The incident took place in Kudalur village of Hanur Taluk in Chamarajanagar.

Rajamma accidentally touched a snapped live electric wire falling on the ground while she was on her way to attend nature’s call, it is said.

Villagers alleged negligence by Chescom staff and demanded proper compensation to the deceased’s family.

Chescom officials and Rampur police visited the spot and inspected.  Rs.10,000 was handed over to the deceased’s family by local MLA. Chescom officials said the department will compensate the family with Rs. 6 lakh.

The post mortem was conducted on the spot and the body was handed over to the family. Local residents Siddharaju, Radhakrishna, Yellappan, Basavaraju and Nagaraj were present on the spot.

Ramanagara: A dispute between a father and his son over financial matters culminated in a fatal outcome as the father allegedly murdered his own son. The incident occurred in Lakkojanahalli village of Ramanagara taluk on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Bhaskar (31), fell victim to his father Krishnappa's violent actions. Krishnappa, the accused, has been arrested by the Ramanagara Rural Police Station.

After receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and transferred Bhaskar's body to the district hospital for postmortem examination. A case has been filed against Krishnappa, who remains in custody, undergoing interrogation as the investigation progresses.
