Woman in Vijayapura drowns three children in water pit, commits suicide, after fight with husband
Vijayapura: Following a fight with her husband, a 32-year-old woman here on Saturday allegedly killed her three children by drowning them in the underground water pit at home before committing suicide.
The incident took place in Thikota taluk of the district and the deceased woman has been identified as Geetha Ramu Chauhan, a resident of the Vithalvada tanda in Jalageri village of Thikota. Her three children were Srishti (6), Samartha (4) and Kishan (3).
Geetha is said to have had a fight with her husband Ramu Saturday night. Allegedly upset due to the tussle, Geetha is learned to have drowned her children in the water pit and killed herself when her husband was asleep.
The matter came to light when Ramu found his wife and children missing from the house on Sunday morning and searched for them.
Thikota Police officers have registered a case. They have also paid a visit to the house during investigation.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
