Woman killed in wild elephant attack in Mudigere taluk
Chikkamagaluru: A 35-year-old woman reportedly died in a wild elephant attack Ullemane Kundur village, Mudigere taluk, on Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as Shobha, who was working at shearing the grass when the wild jumbo attacked her, said the police.
Two other women were working with Shobha, but they escaped the assault, the police said, adding that Shobha, who was grievously injured, died.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Mudigere Police Station.
