Bengaluru, Dec 20: The 10th City Sessions Court (City Civil) on Thursday gave a stay order against releasing the movie ‘KGF’ in various languages including Kannada.
The movie ‘KGF’ is based on the life story of a rowdy Thangam. But long ago, another person called Venkatesh had got rights to make a movie based on Thangam’s life story. Now, reviewing the application of Venkatesh, the court has given interim stay order till January 7.
It is said that Venkatesh has got the right to do a movie on Kolar-based rowdy sheeter Thangam. Venkatesh has got the permission from the family members of Thangam. But the team of KGF has not took any permission to make the movie, applicant alleged.
The film ‘KGF’ which was supposed to release on December 21, is facing another problem. It is said that another person Lohith moved the court seeking direction to change the title of the movie ‘KGF’.
Film to be released
‘The applicant has moved the court without watching our movie. We have not received any notice from the court officially. Normally, fans are confused. Film rights were distributed to all distributors. The KGF movie will be released in over 2000 theatres across the globe’.

Tehran/Doha: Iran’s President Massoud Pezeshkian has warned that attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure could lead to “uncontrollable consequences” affecting the entire world.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said he “strongly condemns” the strikes that targeted the South Pars gasfield earlier in the day.
“Such aggressive actions will not achieve anything for the American Zionist enemy and their supporters. Rather, they will complicate the situation and could lead to uncontrollable consequences that will affect the entire world,” he said.
Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has urged residents to remain indoors due to what it described as an elevated security threat.
Authorities have not provided further details, but the advisory comes amid growing concerns over the safety of energy infrastructure and civilian areas in the region.
