Yoga guru arrested in Chikkamagaluru for allegedly raping foreign national
Chikkamagaluru: A yoga guru in Chikkamagaluru has been arrested on charges of raping a foreign woman by convincing her that they shared a relationship in a previous birth.
The woman, who had been taking online yoga lessons, filed a complaint at the rural police station. She alleged that she was called to the yoga center near Mallenahalli on three occasions between 2021 and 2022, during which she was sexually assaulted.
According to her complaint, the survivor, whose family hails from Punjab and has been residing in California since 2010, was introduced to the accused, Pradeep Ullal, in 2020 through a friend. She stated that Ullal touched her inappropriately under the guise of "energy work" and "kundali block," claiming they had a connection from a past life.
She further alleged that during her visits in 2022, she was raped multiple times, resulting in a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage.
Following her complaint, the police have taken the accused into custody and initiated an investigation.

Rural police file POCSO case against headmaster for alleged sexual harassment in Mandya Dist.
Malavalli: A case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the in-charge headmaster (HM) of a local school, following allegations of sexual harassment by students.

The Block Education Officer (BEO), V. E. Uma, lodged the complaint after students reported incidents of harassment involving the headmaster, who had been serving in the school for the past 13 years. Upon receiving the complaint, Uma, along with members of the district children's protection committee, visited the school to gather information from students and parents. The investigation is on going.
