Senior BJP leader and Vijayapura MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal took a sharp jab at former Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra during a public event, 'Danammadevi Jatra celebrations,' held at Ananda Nagar, Vijayapura, on Friday night.
Expressing his views, Yatnal remarked, "You want all posts for your kids; if any are left out, offer it to your cats." The comment from Yatnal directly targeted the apparent nepotism within his party's leadership.
Yatnal, seemingly unfazed, continued by addressing allegations against him in the recent Vijayapura constituency elections. He claimed that despite attempts to undermine him by distributing money, the voters supported him with a larger margin than in the previous elections.
Further expressing his discontent, Yatnal asserted, "I had previously asked the father (BS Yediyurappa) and son (BS Vijayendra) duo not to engage in drama. They want all the posts for their children because they don't want to relinquish those positions. If you observe them shedding tears for farmers, it's all a drama. They desire to secure key positions for their children. If there is anything left, then offer it to your cats, make them General Secretary or Deputy Secretary."

Gumla (PTI): Three persons were arrested on Monday for allegedly raping two women at a village in Jharkhand’s Gumla district, police said.
All the three accused have been remanded to judicial custody, Gumla Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge, Mahendra Karmali, told PTI.
According to police, one of the women had been called to Gumla Sadar by her boyfriend on Sunday for an outing.
“She arrived at the spot accompanied by a female. The woman’s boyfriend then called a friend, and they took the two women to a secluded place in Sisai police station area in the evening, forcibly made them consume alcohol before raping them,” the officer said.
The accused later called another man to the spot, who also allegedly raped the women, he said.
“The women later reached the Sadar Police Station and lodged a complaint on Sunday night. Police conducted raids and nabbed the three accused on Monday,” he added.
Further investigation is underway.
