The poll process for the May 10 Karnataka Assembly elections will be formally set in motion on Thursday with the gazette notification.

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has expressed his displeasure over the suggestion of the party high command to not contest the upcoming assembly polls. Shettar, who belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said that he is hurt by the suggestion and has made it clear that he will contest the polls.

Bengaluru: The Congress party has launched a fresh attack on the BJP, accusing them of keeping former Chief Minister of Karnataka, B.S. Yeddyurappa (BSY), out of a meeting for ticket distribution. Congress claimed that BJP brought Prahlad Joshi to the meeting instead of Yeddyurappa.
