Bengaluru: A kickboxer from Mysuru who went into coma after suffering grievous injury at a kickboxing event in the city on July 10 has died in a private hospital, police said.

 In a collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw that occurred on Wednesday night, three passengers in the auto-rickshaw reportedly passed away near the Kanigal Gate on the outskirts of Malavalli Town. The two people in the car are said to have sustained grievous injuries in this accident. 

Ayyub Khan, the husband of Nazima, who was the former corporator of the K.R Market ward in the Chamarajapete constituency, reportedly passed away due to grievous stab injuries on early Thursday morning. Ayyub Khan had been stabbed by his brother’s son and was receiving treatment for his injuries at the hospital. However, he died on Thursday morning after the treatments proved to be ineffective. 

Congress MP D K Suresh on Thursday expressed concern over the personality cult in the party at the preparatory meet for senior leader Siddaramaiah's 75th birthday bash, and cautioned that it should not send out a "wrong message" ahead of Assembly polls next year.
