150 ITIs to be converted into technology hubs under 'Udyoga' at Rs 5,000 cr: DCM Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru, Jul 14: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan on Wednesday said the state government would undertake a unique programme Udyoga at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore, aimed at realizing the objective of up-skilling the youth workforce through ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) and converting 150 ITIs to Technology hubs.

 


July 14: 1,990 new COVID-19 cases, 45 deaths in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Karnataka on Wednesday reported 1,990 new cases of COVID-19 and 45 deaths, taking the caseload to 28,76,587 and death toll to 35,989, the health department said.

Preparations for SSLC exam complete: Minister S Suresh Kumar

Bengaluru: Preparations for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate or 10th standard exam, which is scheduled for July 19 and 22, has been completed in all districts of the state, with district officials and chief executive officers of gram panchayats already reviewing the steps, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said on Wednesday.
