The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for next four days, indicating heatwave conditions in isolated pockets over interior Karnataka. Coastal Karnataka is expected to experience hot and humid weather conditions from April 24 to 27.

Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator KP Nanjundi, who had resigned as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council (MLC) and also as a primary member of the BJP on Tuesday, joined the Congress on Wednesday.
