Kodagu businessman commits suicide by setting himself of fire in Wayanad; wife, two children injured

A Kodagu-based businessman, who is said to have been depressed that his money was not returned by the borrower, allegedly committed suicide in Wayanad, Kerala, by setting himself on fire inside a car recently.


Wild elephant electrocuted after contact with farm fence in Mysuru district

A 30-year-old female elephant died after being electrocuted upon coming into contact with a galvanised iron wire fence on Saturday. The fence was erected around a maize farm at Doddaharave village in Mysuru district, forest officials said.
