60 eye injuries, 50 burn injuries reported in B'luru due to firecrackers during Diwali celebrations

Bengaluru witnessed a surge in firecracker-related accidents during the three-day Diwali celebrations, starting from November 12. Hospitals reported over 60 patients with eye injuries and around 50 with burn injuries.

Bengaluru, Nov 15: The Karnataka government on Wednesday submitted before the High Court that a discussion of stakeholders called by the Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development Department discussed payment of compensation of Rs five lakh to families of people who die due to dog bites.
