Teachers above 50 years of age exempted from 'excess teacher' transfers: Karnataka HC

The Karnataka High Court has ruled that female teachers aged over 50 and male teachers above 55 are exempted in law from being considered as 'excess teachers' during the process of rationalisation and redeployment in other schools.

Meat consignment: Legal action to be taken based on analysis report of species

A day after the chaos at Bengaluru railway station over a large shipment of meat, the Karnataka Food Safety and Standards department on Saturday said samples of animal meat found in the parcels were collected and sent to the laboratory for analysis following which legal action will be initiated.
