 A nine-year-old girl was killed after being run over by a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus in the city on Saturday, police said.

Labour Minister Santosh Lad has said that all companies must provide menstrual leave to women employees, and the state government will soon frame rules to ensure compliance. He clarified that once the government enacts the law, companies will be legally bound to implement it.
