Bengaluru: The High Court of Karnataka on Friday issued notice to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on a petition seeking his disqualification from Varuna assembly constituency alleging election malpractice.

 


Karnataka Governor arrives late at airport, misses flight to Hyderabad

In an unusual turn of events, Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot missed his scheduled flight to Hyderabad from the Kempegowda International Airport, Devanahalli, in Bengaluru on Thursday. Governor Gehlot had booked a ticket for the 2 pm Air Asia flight but failed to reach the airport on time, resulting in the flight departing without him. Instead, he had to board the 3:30 pm Air Asia flight to reach his destination.
