The High Court of Karnataka on Friday dismissed a petition filed by Twitter Inc., challenging several blocking and take-down orders issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, saying the company's plea was devoid of merits.

He is believed to have discussed the contentious Mekedatu balancing reservoir across the Cauvery river and the Mahadayi drinking water project, among other irrigation projects in the state.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar called on Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat here on Thursday and discussed pending irrigation projects in the southern state with him.

He has been given one week's time to give a written reply to the show cause notice issued by the state disciplinary committee of the party.
Renukacharya on Thursday said the party's state president Nalin Kumar Kateel should have resigned from the post, taking moral responsibility for the Assembly poll debacle.

Khader, who addressed reporters in the city on Thursday, said, “Such a political training academy was founded in Pune. We will take suggestions of the administrative board of the academy regarding setting up and maintenance of such an institute in Karnataka also.”

Further alleging that party workers are being threatened, he asked some leaders -- without taking any names -- to shed their dictatorial attitude. Renukacharya said, "Just about four days ahead of elections, leaders held online meetings, virtual rallies. Looking at their faces daily, workers were tired."
