New Delhi: An Indian Cricket Team fan on Thursday slammed the Zee News channel on their live show for communalizing trivial matters and urged them not to communalize the sport at least.
In a video clip that is being widely shared on social media platforms, the fan can also be heard calling the channel “the worst news channel of India” before being slightly pushed away by the reporter.
The show was being aired live on Zee News from Australia after India’s defeat to England in the second semifinal of the 2022 T20 World Cup.
"Is this going Live? Ok, This is Zee, Yaha pe atleast Hindu-Musalman karna band karo, you are the worst channel in India" the fan can be heard saying in the video.
Several journalists and activists including Mohammed Zubair of the Alt News also shared the viral video clip from their respective Twitter handles.
News Channel Zee News is often slammed by social media users for communalizing news stories and is also often blamed for spreading misinformation on their channel.

Baramati (PTI): The last rites of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, killed in a plane crash, will be held with full state honours on Thursday in Baramati, Pune district.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are expected to attend the funeral, which will be held at Vidya Pratishthan ground at 11 AM. Leaders cutting across the political spectrum will be present, the Nationalist Congress Party said.
The plane crash occurred in the morning shortly after Ajit Pawar and four other persons took off from Mumbai.
Besides Pawar, his Personal Security Officer, an attendant, and two crew members (pilot in command and the first officer) were also killed.
Pawar is survived by wife Sunetra, a member of the Rajya Sabha, and two sons, Parth and Jay.
The state government declared a public holiday on Wednesday and announced a three-day period of state mourning.
