New Delhi: Former Indian Cricketer and opener Virender Sehwag on Sunday shared a doctored video of a fan destroying his TV set in frustration. Sehwag on his social media handles shared the video claiming that the video was of a Pakistani fan who was breaking his TV set after India defeated Pakistan on Sunday at the MCG in the T20 WC 2022 encounter.
In the video, it was shown that the fan was watching the final ball of Ind vs Pak match of Sunday which ended in a dramatic finish with the match hanging in balance till the last ball before Ravichandran Ashwin scored the winning runs after a brilliant match-winning knock of Virat Kohli.
Sehwag in his post captioned the video, “Relax Padosi , it’s only a game. Hamaare yahan Deepawali hai toh pataakhe phod rahe hain aur aap bevajah TV phod rahe hain Nahin yaar, TV ka kya kasoor.” (Relax neighbors it’s only a game. We are bursting firecrackers to celebrate Diwali, and you guys are breaking TV for no reason. What is the fault of TV) Sehwag wrote with a tinge of sarcasm.
Replying to the 17-minute video clip shared by Sehwag, fact-checker, and co-founder of AltNews Mohammed Zubair shared the original clip and which shows a man watching a football match on TV before destroying the TV set in frustration.
The man in the video is evidently frustrated with his TV set turning off repeatedly at the key moment before he loses his cool and destroys the TV set.
Zubair, also with a tinge of Sarcasm shared the video with the caption “Full video. Last three overs.”
Relax Padosi , it’s only a game.

Kolkata (PTI): Seven people were arrested from the Parnashree area in the southern part of the city for allegedly running a fake call centre, a police officer said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house on Netaji Subhas Road on Friday night and found the fake call centre operating from the ground floor, he said.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had set up a bogus company using forged documents and posed as employees of an antivirus firm to call citizens in the US, the officer said.
"The callers would gain the trust of victims and then use remote access to take control of their phones or other digital devices. The accused allegedly siphoned off large sums of money, running into millions of dollars, from victims' accounts," he said.
Five laptops, two WiFi routers, six mobile phones and four headsets were seized from the accused, he said, adding that the seven are being questioned to ascertain the full extent of the racket and to identify others involved.
