After 25 overs NZ inning stable but struggling to get going
Manchester: After being struck by the early blow of losing opener Martin Guptill New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and opener Henry Nicholls stitched a fine 68 run partnership to stabilize the inning for the team.
Nicholls however was dismissed by a brilliant delivery by Ravindra Jadeja as he knocked his stump over.
After 25 overs, Blackcaps inning was stable wit 83 runs on board for the loss of two wickets with two of their most dependable batsman Ross Taylor and Williamson batting at the crease.
With the ball Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled five overs from his quota and has conceded 13 runs with one maiden over while Bumrah bowled 4 overs conceding 10 runs with a maiden and an wicket to his tally. Yuzvebdra Chahal has bowled 4 overs and has conceded 16 runs, while Jadeja has so far bowled 8 overs conceding 25 runs and bagging 1 wicket. Hardik Pandya bowled 4 overs and has conceded 17 runs.

Woman falls to death from ranger swing ride at Vijayapura exhibition ground
Vijayapura (Karnataka), Oct 23: A 21-year-old woman died of head injuries after falling off a ranger swing ride at an exhibition ground here, police said on Wednesday.
They said it happened around 7 pm on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Nikitha Biradar.
Biradar had gone to the exhibition ground with her mother and some friends.

According to police, the victim fell off the ride from a height after her safety bar broke and the safety belt she was wearing ripped.
She sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital, a senior police official said.
He said a case has been registered against the event manager and the ride operator under section 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
