New Delhi: Indian fans went through heartbreak on Wednesday night when their team led by skipper Virat Kohli were hammered by Kane Williamson led New Zealand in the World Test Championship Final in England.
The loss reminded many of the 2019 ODI World Cup semifinals when the Kohli-led side was beaten by NZ itself to knock them out of the mega event.
Disappointed fans flooded social media platforms with criticism to the Indian side with many questioning the Virat Kohli’s abilities as skipper of the side in the ICC events.
A day after the defeat, the Indian team’s skipper took to his Twitter account and spoke about the team. In a Twitter post, Kohli shared an image of the team in a huddle during one of the sessions from the WTC Finals and wrote “This isn’t just a team. It’s a family. We move ahead. TOGETHER”.
