The battle between India and Pakistan inside the BRAVE Combat Federation Arena ended with the Indian flag waving around the MMA cage, as Mohammad Farhad, from Maharashtra, defeated Pakistan’s Kareem Uloomi via knockout in the second round.

One of the most anticipated matches of BRAVE CF 47: Asian Domination, event held this Thursday (11) at the Arad Fort, in Arad, Kingdom of Bahrain, Mohammed Farhad vs Kareem Uloomi quickly proved why it was drawing so much attention.

As soon as the bell rang, the two men went for it and started trading blows in the center of the cage. Despite facing a tough and resilient opponent, Farhad’s win came through the core Indian values of skill, composure, intelligence, and lots of heart.

After almost dropping Uloomi in the first round, Farhad was caught by surprise with a hand and got himself under pressure. “Sher-e-Hind”, as he’s also known as, bravely resisted and, when the odds seemed to have turned against him, got a one-punch knockout.

Speaking after the emblematic victory, Farhad dedicated the win to his home country. “I represent 1.1 billion people, we are Indians, that’s what we are all about! It’s your strength that pushes me, I knew I could do it from the moment we stepped into the cage. Thank you!”, he said.

BRAVE Combat Federation, the premier global MMA promotion founded by Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, from Bahrain, will hold three more events in its home nation in the upcoming weeks, culminating in the organization’s historical 50th fight night at April 1st.

"I am really thankful to Founder of Brave Conbat federation HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad & President Mohammad Shahid for giving the opportunity to promote and compete in international platform for Brave combat federation the fastest growing MMA promotions in the world, in-fact there is lot of hidden talent in India , what we need is to give proper training and exposure to them , now we are planning in talking to our honorable sports minister of Índia to strengthen sports tie between the countries."

New Delhi (PTI): Ajay Gupta, one of the co-owners of Goa's 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, said that he is "only a partner" as he was brought to Delhi's Anti Extortion and Kidnapping Cell of the Crime Branch on Wednesday in connection with the blaze that killed 25 people.

Gupta, wearing a mask and covering most of his face, made the brief remark while entering the Crime Branch office at Sunlight Colony.

Sources said he was questioned by Goa Police and it initiated formal procedures to apprehend him and seek a transit remand. The sources said that Gupta had been evading from investigators since the December 6 blaze in north Goa's Arpora area.

"A Look Out Circular (LOC) had been issued against him after Goa Police failed to find him in Delhi during their first search. He was later located at a private hospital in Lajpat Nagar, where he had reportedly admitted himself citing spine-related medical issues. After medical clearance, he was detained and brought to the Crime Branch office for further procedures," the source added.
