Mumbai, May 12: The Decision Review System (DRS) was not available for nearly two overs at the start of the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings due to power failure at the Wankhede Stadium here on Thursday.

Due to a power cut at one of the floodlight towers, the DRS was not available for 1.4 overs at the start of the Chennai Super Kings innings during which they lost three wickets.

Opener Devon Conway (0) and Robin Uthappa (1) were out LBW off the deliveries of Daniel Sams and Jasprit Bumrah and CSK could not take the review as DRS was not available.

Just after Uthappa's wicket, the DRS was available and the players were apparently told by the umpires about it.

One of the floodlight towers went off just before the toss, which was delayed by a couple of minutes.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and asked CSK to bat.

Gadag: Two teenage students drowned while swimming in a water filled pit in Gadag district on Saturday, February 28.

The students have been identified as Basavaraj Badiger and Parashuram Vadder, both aged 15 and studying in Class 9.

Both were studying at Mulgund High School and were residing at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Pre-Matric Boys’ Hostel.

According to police, the boys, along with four other friends, went swimming after finishing school in the afternoon.

All six boys went swimming in the large pit which was dug up, and had water accumulated in it. While the four knew swimming, both Basavaraj and Parashuram did not know swimming.

Swimming experts and fire brigade personnel have launched a search operation to locate the students.

Police from Mulgund Police Station visited the spot and carried out a preliminary investigation, and a case has been registered in this regard.
