Saudi footballer Al-Muwallad hospitalised after fall from balcony in Dubai
Dubai, Sep 15: Saudi Arabia football player Fahad Al-Muwallad is in intensive care after falling from a second-floor balcony while vacationing in Dubai.
Dubai Police General Command said late Saturday that Al-Muwallad was “involved in an accident while on a short vacation in Dubai, when he fell from the balcony of his second-floor home.”
The winger, who just turned 30 and currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, played at the 2018 World Cup with Saudi Arabia.
Police said the “initial investigations showed that the accident occurred while he was on the balcony” with the investigation ongoing.
Police said Al-Muwallad is “in intensive care in one of Dubai's hospitals, where the efforts of the medical teams continue to provide him with the necessary care.”

Vandalism at Allu Arjun's residence in Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Dec 22: A group of persons, claiming to be members of Osmania University Joint Action Committee, on Sunday vandalised flower pots and other things at the residence of top Telugu actor Allu Arjun here.
The protesters raised slogans against the actor and sought justice to the woman who died in a stampede at a movie theatre here earlier this month on the occasion of screening of the actor's latest film 'Pushpa-2'.
The protesters were taken away by the police.
A placard left by them said crores of rupees are made by making films, while those watching films are dying.
The OU-JAC was in the forefront of Telangana statehood agitation.
