Virat Kohli becomes father of a baby boy
New Delhi, Feb 20: Star India batter Virat Kohli on Tuesday announced that he and his actress wife Anushka Sharma were blessed with a baby boy on February 15.
Kohli and Anushka are already proud parents of a three-year-old daughter Vamika.
"With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world!," Kohli informed in an instagram post.
"We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time."
Kohli had opted out of the ongoing Test series against England, citing personal reasons.
India are leading the five-match series 2-1.

Police have clear clues about killers of Suhas Shetty: ADGP R. Hitendra
Mangaluru: A significant lead has been found in the investigation into the murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty, and efforts are underway to trace the accused, said R. Hitendra, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Karnataka.
Addressing the media in Mangaluru on Friday, ADGP Hitendra assured that strong action will be taken against those responsible for the murder. “We have obtained a clear clue regarding the suspects and the investigation is progressing. We appeal to the public to maintain peace and order,” he said.
To ensure law and order in the district, especially in the wake of heightened tension following the incident, the police have strengthened security arrangements. A total of 22 battalions of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), 5 Superintendents of Police (SPs), and over 1,000 police personnel have been deployed.
The senior officer also urged citizens not to fall for rumours or spread misinformation that could disrupt harmony.
