Beijing: China has expressed deep concern over the latest developments in the region and called for an immediate ceasefire.

In a statement, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Iran’s national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity must be respected. It urged all sides to avoid further escalation and to return to dialogue.

The ministry stressed the need for restraint at a time when tensions remain high following recent military exchanges involving Iran, the United States and Israel.
