Indian Embassy issues fresh advisory for nationals in Israel as Iran-Israel conflict escalates
New Delhi: The Indian Embassy in Israel on Saturday issued fresh advisory urging Indian nationals in the country to exercise heightened caution as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to rise.
In a tweet posted on its official handle on X (@indemtel), the Embassy advised, “In view of the prevailing situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to remain vigilant and follow the safety protocols issued by the Israeli authorities and Home Front Command.”
Assuring safety of Indian nationals, the Embassy urged Indian nationals to avoid unnecessary travel within Israel and are advised to stay close to authorized safety shelters. The Embassy has also provided emergency contact information for any assistance, including a 24x7 helpline (+972 54-7520711, +972 54-3278392) and an email address (cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in).
The Embassy was issued instruction following a phone call between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu. Following the call, PM Modi posted on X: “Received a phone call from PM Netanyahu of Israel. He briefed me on the evolving situation. I shared India’s concerns and emphasised the need for early restoration of peace and stability in the region.”

New Delhi: The countdown has begun for the counting of votes for the Assembly elections in five states that have captured the attention of people across the country.
