Iran announces three-person council to oversee leadership transition, reports say
Tehran: Iran has announced that a three-person council will temporarily assume all leadership duties in the country, Al Jazeera reported citing Iranian news agency IRNA.
According to the report, the council will consist of the country’s president, the chief of the judiciary, and one of the jurists of the Guardian Council.

Explosions reported in Dubai, Doha; sirens go on in Kuwait say reports
Dubai: Multiple explosions have been reported in key cities across the Gulf, Al Jazeera reported.
In Dubai, Reuters reported that “several loud bangs” were heard across the city.
In Doha, residents reported at least 11 explosions in the sky above the city, according to Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera’s Arabic channel reported air raid sirens sounding in Kuwait.
