Israel issues mass evacuation orders across Gaza as military offensive intensifies
Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have issued an evacuation order for residents in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday, for the towns of Beit Lahia, Jabalia, the Jabalia refugee camp and northern neighbourhoods of Gaza City.
The IDF announced the evacuation order through a social media message. The IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee said, "The IDF will greatly expand its military operations in your areas." He also warned civilians that they were located in what he described as "dangerous combat zones" and urged them to flee southward for their safety.
Earlier, the IDF on May 19 also directed civilians in Khan Younis, Bani Suhaila, and Abasan in southern Gaza to evacuate. Adraee further warned and said, “Terrorist organisations have brought you disaster. For your safety, evacuate immediately.”
Hospitals across Gaza have reported over 100 deaths in the last 24 hours alone. According to health authorities in Gaza, the total death toll has now reached 53,655 since Israel started the attack.

Davangere South bypoll: Congress ahead by narrow lead after 14th round
Davangere: The Congress candidate is leading in the Davangere South Assembly by-election after the completion of the 14th round of counting.
According to the latest figures, the Congress has secured 46,460 votes, while the BJP stands at 39,037 votes, trailing by 7,423 votes.
The SDPI candidate has polled 15,303 votes so far.
Counting is still underway, and final results are awaited.
