Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent successful prostate removal surgery on Sunday and is reportedly in stable condition.
The procedure was performed at Hadassah Medical Centre, which confirmed that Netanyahu has awakened from anesthesia and is recovering well. "The prime minister...is in good condition. He has been transferred to the recovery unit and will remain under observation in the coming days," the hospital stated.
Netanyahu’s office had earlier disclosed that he was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection linked to benign prostate enlargement. The 74-year-old leader has faced multiple health challenges in recent months, including hernia surgery in March and the implantation of a pacemaker in July 2023.
