South Africa on Saturday smashed the record of the highest team total in a ODI World Cup match. The record was broken during the South Africa’s match against Sri Lanka at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi.
South Africa finished with a total of 428-5 in their 50 overs with three of its batters scoring centuries – Quinton De Kock, Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram. Markram scored the fastest ODI WC hundred, reaching the milestone in only 49 balls.
David Miller made a crucial contribution scoring 39 from 21 deliveries.
