Karnataka Assembly passes resolution to scrap NEET, joins Tamil Nadu and West Bengal

Bengaluru: On Thursday, the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka passed a resolution in both houses of the legislature to abolish the all-India medical exam NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). With this move, Karnataka becomes the third state to pass a resolution against NEET, following Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.

Heavy rains in Gurugram leave luxury cars submerged, owner criticizes authorities

Gurugram recently witnessed heavy rainfall, resulting in immense waterlogging and flooding at different points of the city. A resident in the city, going by the name Gajodhar Singh on social media, shared on Instagram a video of his luxury cars, including BMW and Mercedes, half-submerged in water. He captioned the picture saying continuous rain had ruined his luxury cars. He also hit out at the Gurugram authorities, asking what the point was of paying so many taxes "for such a lousy infrastructure" when no one comes to help.

Bengaluru Airport sees strong growth in passenger traffic, no passengers at Bidar Airport

The Kempegowda International Airport continued to witness strong passenger growth, with 1.02 crore passengers from April to June of this financial year, meaning overall passenger traffic has increased by 7.2 percent over the same period of the last fiscal year, according to the Air Traffic Report of the Airports Authority of India. Growth has largely come from international passengers, which grew by 20.3% this quarter.
