New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has awarded Rs 50,000 each as compensation, to be borne by the State, to two accused who were acquitted in a murder case, saying it was a "classic example of terrible investigation" which made them suffer the ordeal of long trial and undergo incarceration for a crime they never committed.

Bengaluru: Actor Prakash Raj has come under scrutiny as a complaint was lodged against him at a police station in Bagalkot district, Karnataka, for allegedly mocking India's Chandrayaan-3 mission in a social media post. The complaint was filed by leaders of Hindu organizations who deemed the actor's remarks inappropriate.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday set aside the Kerala High Court order suspending conviction and sentence of Lakshadweep Lok Sabha MP Mohammed Faizal in an attempt to murder case and remanded the matter back to the high court for fresh adjudication in six weeks.

The Haryana government has recently executed a reshuffle of its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, involving the transfer of 16 officials. Among them is Mohammad Imran Raza, who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Rewari.
